This first-person poem that has a strange rhyming pattern, a few allusions, weak similes, and the rest is written from my heart.
TRANSCENDENTALIZE
If I could take back time counter-clockwise,
I'd apologize for all my lies.
I'd search for you when you were alive, still breathing on Earth.
Love is not when you believe you can love a ghost more than a human.
Metaphorically speaking, I broke his heart and put envy in his eyes.
Darkness surrounds me but I am not afraid,
Poisonous truth to trade.
Protect my sanity from malicious entities
Trying not to space out too far-- Transcendentalize . . .
